Join us as we rewrite the playbook for traditional RPO and chart a new course for the future of hiring.

The Reporting & Analytics Specialist is responsible for designing, maintaining, and enhancing reports, dashboards, and analytics that measure the performance of recruitment programs (e.g., time-to-fill, funnel conversion, source effectiveness, and compliance). This role transforms data into clear insights and recommendations that help the leadership teams, recruiters, and clients make data-driven decisions and continuously improve the recruitment process.

Responsibilities:

  • Build, maintain, and automate centralized recruitment reports/dashboards for all clients (weekly, monthly, quarterly) using data from the ATS and related systems (e.g., requisitions, offers, hires).

  • Track and analyze key recruiting KPIs such as time-to-fill, time-in-stage, submittals-to-interview, interview-to-offer, offer-to-hire, recruiter productivity, and source/channel performance.

  • Conduct ad hoc reports and analyses to answer client and internal stakeholder questions about candidate pipelines, SLA/contract performance.

  • Partner with executive leaders, delivery managers, and client teams to define reporting requirements and standardize metric definitions across programs and geographies.

  • Proactively identify trends, issues, and opportunities in recruitment data and present clear, actionable recommendations to improve process efficiency and hiring outcomes.

  • Maintain data quality through regular audits, data validation checks, and governance activities to ensure accurate and reliable reporting.

  • Support ATS and reporting tool optimization (fields, workflows, user training, documentation) to enable better data capture and self-service reporting.

  • Create and deliver report guides, visuals, and training to help recruiters, hiring managers, and clients interpret dashboards and use insights into their decisions.

  • Collaborate with IT teams to improve data integrations, build new datasets, and explore advanced analytics where relevant.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data/Analytics, Statistics, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 2–4+ years of experience in reporting, analytics, or business intelligence, preferably in recruiting, talent acquisition, or RPO.

  • Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas; macros a plus) and experience with BI or data visualization tools (e.g., Bold BI, Power BI, Tableau).

  • Hands-on experience working with ATS or HR systems (e.g., Workday, SuccessFactors, iCIMS, JazzHR, Lever, Jobvite, or similar systems) and extracting data for analysis.

  • Ability to work with large, complex datasets, perform data cleaning, and ensure consistent definitions across reports.

  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to translate data into insights and clear narratives for non-technical stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable presenting to recruiting leadership and client stakeholders.

  • High attention to detail, strong organization, and the ability to manage multiple reporting requests and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Familiarity with SQL or other query languages is a plus for more complex data pulls and automation.

At NXTThing RPO we understand that we are at our best when our people can be their authentic selves at work and we are committed to providing an inclusive environment for our team, our clients, and our communities.
